Tumblr was really excited to announce that they’ve got a new app – called Cabana.

“It’s for hanging out with friends and watching videos.” the post reads.

“It’s good. You just open it, video chat with up to five friends, and watch stuff together.”

So essentially something like Rabbit? Albeit with less functions?

The idea is that you can watch videos together while video chatting.

That aside, Cabana isn’t linked to Tumblr. To find friends you have to add phone numbers. The app launches users into their own broadcast and sends an alert to their friends via push notifications. You can jump in and out of video chats, watch videos with friends, or just watch videos of people watching videos. The app only integrates with YouTube for now.

Also, at present time it’s only available on iOS. Android version is set to be released in a few weeks.
