If you’re experiencing disruption on your mobile service, this could be due to the migration Celcom Digi and Maxis are currently embarking on after the spectrum reallocation was announced by MCMC.

In relation to the 900MHz and 1800MHz bandwidth being reallocated, the operators have started migrate their base stations to operate within their spectrum blocks.This migration exercise is to facilitate the implementation of latest mobile services to subscribers carried out in phases nationwide beginning September 2016 and is to be fully completed by June 2017. Beneficiaries will be the likes of newer operator like U Mobile.

MCMC has warned during this period, subscribers in affected areas may experience temporary service degradation and are advise to contact their respective service provider.
