With Raya celebrations approaching, the e-mall known as 11street released its Raya Survey before the yearly celebrations for Muslims by talking about how much we as Malaysians actually spend when it comes to online shopping. From the survey, 11street confirms that more 95% of respondents have a positive attitude towards shopping online, especially during the Raya period as it has become an outlet to find great deals.

Gaining more than 2,000 respondents through its recent online survey regarding the festive season expenditure amongst Malaysians, 11street’s survey was conducted from May 16 to June 6. It provided some much needed information such as better understanding the expenses of the nation with Raya looming closer.

Due to the rising cost of living in Malaysia, 90% of the surveyed population agreed when asked if expenditure during the Raya festive season will increase. “Rising costs can also be translated as increased spending during the festive period, since the need to celebrate remains as priority,” said Hoseok Kim, CEO of 11street. “During this festive season, 11street is offering many avenues for purchasing the things that you love under the ‘Manis Ramadan, Meriah Lebaran’ Campaign. Through this campaign, we are also promising a lowest price guarantee under our flagship Shocking Deals section. This simply means that everyone can still enjoy the festivities, without putting too much strain on the wallet.”

One of the most sought-after item that is considered a necessity during the Raya celebration is of course the baju Raya due to its significant ties to the tradition that is Hari Raya. 78% of the respondents during the survey stated that Hari Raya clothing is of utmost importance like accessories, shoes, and branded goods.
