YouTube Android App Gets a New Look

YouTube is revamping its designs and Android app is first to get a taste of the new interface.

The most obvious change is there is now a bottom navigation bar. Where the four main tabs –  ‘Home’, ‘Trending’, ‘Subscriptions’, and ‘Library’ – used to live up top, it’s now at the bottom of your screen.

The top bar now will be replaced with the white bar that normally appears directly below where the red bar was. The Trending tab has the usual filter options such as ‘Music’, ‘Live’, ‘Gaming’, and ‘News’ on the white bar, while the subscription tab has the subscribed channels in icon form.

The rest of the user’s account info and settings has been separated and is now available via the profile icon – located in the top right corner of the display.

Although we haven’t seen it on our devices yet, it should reach you soon. It’s listed as “slowly rolling out” with the additional “if you don’t have the new design yet, you will soon.”

Update: We just got it on our personal devices.
