You can now order an Uber for your friends – including your lovely grandma who doesn’t have a smartphone. Uber recently added a feature that allows users to order a ride for another individual, as well as allowing them to track the ride without having the app.

Users who have the app can set the pickup away from their current location, and the app will ask if a ride is for family or friend. Users can then choose the rider from their contacts list, set a destination and request a ride for them.

When a driver is on the way, the rider will receive a text message with driver’s details and a link to track the driver’s route. Riders and drivers will be able to contact each other as well.

This feature is available starting today in over 30 countries with more coming soon.
