Xiaomi is expanding their device lineup by getting into the wearables market. In comes the Xiaomi Mi Watch, which looks awfully familiar. I wonder where from?

Not really sure. Huh.
Anyway, let’s get back to what’s been confirmed about the new Smartwatch. Recently, Xiaomi confirmed that the Mi Watch will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 Platform.
The Mi Watch will also have eSIM capabilities, and a speaker, so theoretically (maybe practically) you’ll be able to make calls from your smartwatch! You definitely won’t look douchey on the train talking on your watch and having it on speaker. Xiaomi confirmed that you’ll be able to do this as well.
They showed off some of what the OS will look like as well.
Besides that, the Mi Watch does have similarities aesthetically to the Apple Watch. But it does have its difference, as they chose to bring in a more boxy design rather than curved. Not sure how that would feel on the wrist, but we’ll have to wait and see.
And to add to all this goodness, Xiaomi wants to make the Mi Watch a mini smartphone. You’ll be able to install apps, control smart home products, and virtually identical functionality to a smartphone. You’ll even be able to watch videos on the Mi Watch! Not sure who’d wanna do it, but you can, so there’s that.
