Xiaomi Teases The New Mi 9 Fitted With Sapphire Lens Cover

Xiaomi will be unveiling the successor to its popular Mi 8 in Barcelona with much anticipation as the newly touted model will be up against the industry’s other top brass who have all upped the ante by taking the leaf of the same book Xiaomi adapted, affordable price, good features.

The Shenzhen based manufacturer has released images of the near zero bezel Mi 9 than will be 40% smaller than its predecessor, presumably due to the end to end display as seen on the image above. As noticed the embedded finger print scanner into the display clears a trend many others are opting to maximise real estate however there is still no word on face recognition feature as yet.  A total of 4 camera can be confirmed for now with a punch hole in the front and 3 for the rear with a 12MP 2x zoom lens, a 48MP that can take macro shots and probably a wide angle to add to the combination. Xiaomi uses Saphhire coating for the glass cover protecting the lenses, similar material used in Rolex watches that keeps them safe from hard scratches and knocks.

Colour scheme for the phones reveals a more gradient tone like the ones you see in Huawei and Honor phones, with Reddish and Blueish hue shown on its Twitter tease.  Xiaomi claims to have used nano-level laser engraving holographic technology plus dual layer nano coating to achieve such effects.

With just a few days left, the full unraveling will take place and we will share all the details of this purported giant killer.
