Xiaomi is jumping on the bandwagon of smart speakers and has released its own version of the popular trend hitting the preseason holidays. With Apple facing delays with HomePod, the rest of the technology brands will be rushing to capture the market which is showing keen interest in smart speakers.

Presented during the Mi 5X annd MIUI 9 launch as a secret gadget, Xiaomi Mi AI Speaker resembles its Mi Air Purifier design, and comes with key functions like voice assistant and of course as an audio speaker. It has 6 built in speakers and supports DLNA standard audio, the system is also made to sync with other Xiaomi compatible devices which has proliferated Chinese homes.

For now it only speaks Mandarin with English coming soon.
