Xiaomi’s Mi MIX 2S and Redmi S2 Arrive in Malaysia on 1st June

Xiaomi is not slowing down with its releases. The company is bringing two new smartphones to Malaysia. The company unveils the Mi MIX 2S and Redmi S2, both arriving at RM1,999 and RM679 respectively.

Mi MIX 2S features a ceramic back with a four-sided curved design and aluminium frame. It also holds a 5.99” FHD+ full screen display. Inside runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 CPU with eight Kryo 385 cores, as well as 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The platform also features the Adreno 630 GPU, offering up to 30 percent higher performance and efficiency.

The smartphone adopts the Sony IMX363 flagship sensor with 1.4μm pixels for its main rear camera. It combines this with Dual Pixel technology, and a multi-exposure noise reduction effect to enable fast and accurate focus in low-light environments.

The Redmi S2 holds a metallic back with symmetrically curved edges. It also comes with a 5.99” 18:9 full screen display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset. The phone also arrives with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage.

The smartphone’s selfie camera captures at 16MP front camera. Accompanying it is a 12MP + 5MP AI dual rear camera. The 12MP sensor in particular has 1.25µm large pixels, which results in brighter images in low light conditions. Meanwhile, the 5MP secondary sensor is able to produce photos with great bokeh effects. In Portrait Mode, both the front and back cameras support AI Beautify.
