Xiaomi Introduces the Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Special Edition in China

Fans of Hatsune Miku in China are in for a treat. Xiaomi is teaming up with Crypton Future Media to bring the virtual pop star to China. The Xiaomi Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Special Edition is now official, and only costs slightly more than the standard Mi 6X.

It’s a follow-up from the Mi 4X Hatsune Miku edition, but Xiaomi has certainly improved on the design. With an aquamarine finish, the Mi 6X Hatsune Miku edition features the titular character prominently on its metal back. On top of this, the smartphone runs Hatsune Miku-themed UIs from the get-go.

What’s equally as impressive is the packaging that the smartphone comes in. The retail box features a cute design, with artwork from artists such as Mame no Moto and ZYre. Inside is a 10,000mAh power bank, a semi-transparent Hatsune Miku-themed case, and also a gift card.

As for the internals of the phone, you can expect the same specs as the regular Mi 6X. The Mi 6X features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 with octa-core CPU, a dual 12MP + 20MP camera, as well as a 5.99″ Full HD+ Display. The special edition of the Mi 6X will have 6GB RAM and 64GB storage.

Unfortunately, the Xiaomi 6X Hatsune Miku Special Edition is only officially available in China. The phone prices at 2,100 yuan, which is about RM1,279. Shipping on 10th July 2018, only 5,000 units will be doled out to fans.
