Xiaomi today launched the latest device in the Redmi series – Redmi 7A. Redmi 7A represents a complete upgrade over its predecessor, Redmi 6A. It comes with the more powerful Qualcomm SnapdragonTM 439, a larger 4000mAh battery, faster 10W charger, improved speakers, splash resistance, as well as
the ability to receive FM radio signals without an external antenna. Redmi 7A is available starting at RM 399.

Redmi 7A: Bigger battery, faster performance
The Redmi 7A is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439, and an octa-core processor. Coupled with a 4000mAh battery, Redmi 7A offers up to two-days of normal use. Or that’s what they say anyway. Anyone care to tell me what ‘normal use’ is? It also features a 5.45” HD+ Full Screen Display with wide viewing angles and support for full screen gestures. The display features low blue light eye protection certification by TÜV Rheinland, which makes it easier on the eyes.
Redmi 7A sports a 12MP rear camera with large pixel size of 1.25um, as well as a 5MP front camera that features AI face unlock. With the ability to receive FM radio signals without external antenna, users can listen to FM radio headset free. That’s cool, I guess. Furthermore, it also offers a dedicated microSD card slot, a headphone jack and splash resistance.
Price and availability
Redmi 7A will be available in two colours; Matte Blue and Matte Black at RM 399 for the 2GB+16GB version and RM 439 for the 2GB+32GB version at Authorised Mi Stores starting from 17th July 2019 for both versions.
For online sales channels, only the 2GB+16GB version will be available. It will be available on 22nd July 2019 at Shopee and on 26th July 2019 at Lazada.
