The boundaries of smartphone photography are constantly being pushed, especially in 2019, with Huawei getting the ball rolling with the launch of the P30 Pro earlier this year. In fact, the camera situation in smartphones went from 0-100 real quick, as even 48 megapixel cameras are already starting to look dated in spite of the fact that it was only just recently that it was first introduced in smartphones.

The reason for this is brands like Xiaomi, who are always pushing the boundaries, and the Mi 10 Series is the perfect example of this.

The phone comes equipped with the world’s first penta camera setup that consists of a whopping 108 MP main sensor, a 12 MP telephoto camera, a 5MP telephoto camera, a 20 MP ultra wide angle camera and a 2MP macro camera. This setup pretty much guarantees epic shots be it at night or in the day. Of course, more pixels don’t necessarily equate to better pictures, but being the first smartphone to reach the 100 million pixel mark, expectations are high.

On the front, you have a 32 MP AI selfie camera that I am pretty sure will give you that beauty effect whether you want it or not. The display itself is a 6.47″ 3D curved AMOLED display that’s designed to make the phone look bigger.

Under the hood, you get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G with a 6GB+128GB setup for the Mi Note 10 and a 8GB+256GB setup for the Mi Note 10 Pro. Powering the device is a massive 5260mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging. In fact, the phone comes with a 30W fast charger right out of the box, so you need not get one as an add on.

If you’re wondering what the differences between the Mi Note 10 and Note 10 Pro are, it’s basically memory situation and the fact that the Mi Note 10 Pro comes with an 8p lens for its main camera as opposed to the 7p lens on the Mi Note 10.

The Mi Note 10 is priced at RM2099 while the Mi Note 10 Pro is priced at RM2499. Both devices will be available from the 7th of December 2019 onward.
