Withings has just launch a new smartwatch, a first after it bought back the name from Nokia earlier this year. The Steel HR Sport hybrid smartwatch combines analogue watch movement with a digital health display.
It comes in a single size – 40mm – and it is 13mm thick. Made out of stainless steel and mineral glass, the HR Sport looks like it will not be out of place in a marathon of a high-class dinner event. The all-black or all-white watch face uses matte colour to reduce reflections. It features two sub-dials on top of the regular watch hands. One sub-dial shows a percentage of the daily goal (which you can manage thorough the app) and the second sub-dial is an OLED display for phone notifications, heart rate, steps, distance, calories, activities and alarm settings.
The watch allows you to select from 30 different sports while also featuring automatic exercise recognition. This makes it a good companion for any health and fitness junkie.
It is also water-resistant up to 50 meters – so it can be used while running in the rain, swimming or even under the shower. It has pretty good battery life – up to 25 days in normal use, 5 days in workout mode and an extra 20 days if you are using it in power-reserve mode, which only shows time and tracks activities. Battery can be charged to 100% in two hours, or 80% in one hour.
The Withings Steel HR Sport is available to order now and is priced at USD199.95 (~RM827) with the optional leather straps an additional USD49.95 (~RM208).
