If you woke up today and want to put on a fun video or song on YouTube but for some reason, the video won’t load, then you’re not alone. I was experiencing this too along with everybody else in the world. Way to start the morning, right?
The video sharing website is currently experiencing a global outage confirmed by the YouTube team themselves on Twitter.
If you’re having trouble watching videos on YouTube right now, you’re not alone – our team is aware of the issue and working on a fix. We’ll follow up here with any updates.

But apparently, it’s not just the main YouTube website itself. The issue appears to affect other services that use the YouTube infrastructure too, including YouTube TV and Google TV where you can purchase movies and TV shows. The videos can’t seem to load. What is going on?
If we’re talking about the website itself, then the YouTube page works just fine. You can open the website, search videos and it won’t be a problem. The only problem is that you can’t watch the videos at the time being. Either they will load after a few minutes or they won’t load at all. Mine problem is the latter.
DownDetector is also showing a truly tremendous number of user reports of problems with YouTube, indicating the problem is widespread. Many Twitter users report that YouTube does not work for them, either, and “is YouTube down” searches are spiking.
So when can we expect the video to be back up and running? Well we don’t know for sure. So far there’s no updates from YouTube but I’m sure they’re working on fixing the problem cause where else can we watch our favourite music videos?
Also I don’t wanna go through the hassle of downloading and signing up for another video sharing app so I’m hoping YouTube can get this problem solved quick. We will see.
