That’s right, the once popular futuristic gadget has now turned silent on all of us, but why? The answer might be privacy concerns. People are afraid of being recorded like in the toilet or out in the streets without their permission. The gadget is banned from bars, movie theatres, casinos and other places that doesn’t want their customers recording.

Rumors said that the glass is slowly becoming an object of desire by businesses. Engineers are said to be interested in using them, such as, for complex repairs or troubleshooting, which makes it easier for them to pull up instruction manuals or do voice search while repairing instead of taking out a heavy laptop or tablet pc. They can also take a picture or a video of what they’re seeing easily with their head-mounted camera while doing their job.

It seems that public interest in this gadget has diminished, mostly perhaps because of its intrusive nature that’s not suitable for public use. We would have to wait for more news from Google to know more about their Google Glass Project. For the time being, we can do without it.
