Western Digital Lends a Helping Hand

In an effort to better manage your personal data, Western Digital (WD) introduces a suite of new storage products. Made for the everyday consumer, these new storage solutions includes a MyCloud Home, a SanDisk iXpand Base and a whopping 400GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I card.

If you think it’s a mistake, think again as WD has managed to cram 400GB worth of storage space into a microSD card! It will be available come December 2017 onwards and if you’re an Android user, you lucked out. The downside, the price tag stands at RM1,499 and can be purchased through Lazada, 11street and Shoppee. The 400GB microSD card is a Class 10 UHS-I card with a read speed rated at 100MB/s and comes with a 10-year limited warranty.

Aside from that, WD also features the new MyCloud Home, which is a personal cloud storage space that connects over Wi-Fi. You can now back-up and sync all of your files and documents wirelessly and through various devices (smartphones, laptops, tablets and computers.) You can then access all that you’ve saved in the MyCloud Home anywhere with an Internet connection. The MyCloud Home comes in various storage space sizes and is already available now with a two-year warranty period.

WD has not forgotten about iOS users with the SanDisk iXpand Base. You can now back-up all your photos, videos and contacts easily and effortlessly. The SanDisk iXpand Base also supports fast charging so you can juice up your iPhone while transferring files over. It will also be available come December 2017 onwards with three different storage space variants.
