YouTube has always been our number one choice of media platform to indulge in during leisure hours and anywhere we are . However, YouTube doesn’t provide offline plays to its users not until recently. YouTube has launched its offline feature in Malaysia as part of a larger drive to make the media platform, an easier place to watch videos even on mobile.
To say the least, with this new feature, users are now able to download videos over WiFi or data, so that they can watch it later. The rules are, once downloaded, users are given a maximum of 48-hours to watch the videos before having to stream it again.
YouTube’s Vice President of Engineering, John Harding said: “By launching a new offline feature for YouTube, we hope to help people move past the challenges of data connection, speed and cost to enjoy a smooth, buffer-free version of YouTube.”
The service has already been launched in 80 countries worldwide, including Vietnam, Indonesia, and Singapore.
