Vivo V19 Launches In Malaysia On April 23; Features Snapdragon 712 & Quad Cam Setup

Vivo Malaysia have now announced that their latest V19 smartphone will be launching this Thursday, April 23. And considering we’re still in the midst of a pandemic and the Movement Control Order, the launch will come via a live-stream event.

The V19 online launch will be happening on April 23 at 6pm and you can catch the event live on the official Vivo Malaysia Facebook page. They’re also giving away three units of the Vivo V19 for people who check out the livestream event, so if you were keen for one, try your luck.

There’s also a exclusive pre-sale with Lazada Malaysia, where they say you can get free gifts worth more than RM548. This will seemingly be available after launch, with wider availability starting on April 29. The full pricing will be unveiled during the live stream event, so as of now, we don’t know how much the phone costs.

But we do know that the latest V19 comes with a 6.44″ Super AMOLED FHD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor, 8GB RAM, and 128GB storage. For their cameras, they’re sporting a dual camera setup on the front with a 32MP + 8MP shooters, and a quad-camera setup on the rear. This comes with a 48MP main shooter, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macros shooter.

Powering the device is a decently sized 4,500mAh battery, capable of a 33W fast charge with USB-C. However, all this being said, we still don’t know how much it costs. But considering this is an upgrade over the Vivo V17 which released late last year. The V17 started off at RM1,699, so we should expect the V19 to be similarly priced, with a slight bump to accommodate the upgrades.
