Valkyria Chronicles’ long-awaited return to home platforms is finally here. Valkyria Chronicles 4, the latest entry in the turn-based strategy series from SEGA, will arrive on 25th September 2018. With the game coming to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, you’ll get to enjoy the game from just about any platform.
Valkyria Chronicles 4 is a watercolour-styled turn-based strategy RPG. It takes place in the same timeframe as the original Valkyria Chronicles, but focuses on a whole new cast of main characters. Players will take command of the young and eager Commander Claude Wallace, as well as Squad E as they trudge through the painful realities of war.
The first-run physical copies of the game comes packaged as ‘Valkyria Chronicles 4 Launch Edition’. As such, grabbing the game early will net you a controller skin featuring Ragnarok, the adorable medic dog from the game. Currently, this offer is only applicable to North America, but we’ll likely see the same bonuses on our shores.
Fans in the EU and UK get an additional treat, however. Their launch edition will come with an extra sticker, also featuring Ragnarok.
If you’re into collector’s editions, then the ‘Memoirs from Battle’ Premium Edition is for you. This will come with an exclusive vinyl statue of the ‘Hafen’ tank that Claude takes into battles. Additionally, you’ll also get Claude’s Travel Journal, a 100-page artbook inspired by Claude’s own in-game journal. Last but not least, this special edition provides four DLC adventures featuring Squad 7 from the first game. The price of ‘Memoirs from Battle’ Premium Edition goes for $99.99 MSRP.
