Tencent announces PUBG Mobile Club Open 2019 with US$2 million prize pool — the largest ever for PUBG Mobile. That is a lot of chicken dinners!

With more than 200 million users since it was released in February 2018, it is undeniable that PUBG mobile is becoming increasingly lucrative. Just ask Gank.Fty, the winners of PUBG MOBILE Malaysia National Championship 2018. They took home a cool RM20k for the grand finals alone! Carrying on with that trend, Tencent has announced a year long event that will give both pro and semi pro teams from 10 regions around the world a chance to win a portion of a $2 million prize pool.

The PUBG Mobile Club Open 2019 is divided into two splits — The spring Split and Fall Split. Each split comes with a separate prize pool and a Global Finals. The Spring Split is slated to be held in July 2019. Teams will compete by region before competing in the Grand Finals. The spring split schedule is as follows:

March 22- March 31: Online qualification round (Crew Challenge)

April 26- May 5: Regional group round (32 crews)

May 10- May 19: Regional semi-finals (24 crews)

May 20- June 14: Regional finals

July 2019: Spring Split Global Finals.

The Fall Split will begin in August and thus far we know that both the online qualification and regional group round will be held in that same month followed by the regional semi-finals in October, the regional finals in November, and the Fall Split Global Finals in December.

And now for the moment you’ve all been waiting for; Eligibility. In order to be eligible for the tourney, you should have at least achieved a Platinum rank by the end of last season, have at least three players on your team that are from the region they are competing to represent and if you’re under the legal age of consent, well you’re going to need mommy and daddy’s permission to join. Just mention the US$2 million prize pool and I think you’ll be fine.

PUBG Mobile Club Open 2019 registrations began on March 8 and end on March 18 via the game’s official website.
