After US Now UK Government Stops Using Kaspersky

Being associated with a country bandied as spying on top nations is turning out to be a nightmare for Eugene Kaspersky, the brash CEO from anti virus company Kaspersky. Right after being labelled spying for Russia with its data stealing security software in the United States, Cyber Security Chief of United Kingdom is advising government agencies to stop using the solutions from Eugene’s company all together.

The impact has left Kaspersky in a precarious situation as stores in the US have already started taking down the anti-virus boxes and stop reorders. Financially this will leave a big dent in its pockets as most of its revenue comes from big nations like the US where millions of corporates and govenrment agencies subscribe to its software. For now security solutions used from Russian firms are kept at high alert adding that they could harbour tools that can infiltrate critical infrastructure and use data retrieved for Moscow’s intent. No proof has so far been produced over these accusations by both countries, but Kaspersky has refuted all claims and has been forthcoming to work with the agencies to clear its name.
