unifi has some more #khabarbaik for sports fans and supporters of national athletes as they’re now inviting fans to make creative videos to stand a chance to get tickets to the 30th SEA Games in the Philippines on the 30th of Novermeber 2019. The contest is called the “unifi Tanah Pusaka”, and calls for original and creative renditions of ‘Tanah Pusaka’ – the 1960s song emblematic of our patriotic spirit.
‘Tahan Pusaka’ first hit radios in the early days of Malaysia’s independence, when the first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman called for a collection of patriotic songs to be curated by Radio Malaya.
“We are taken in by the passion that sparked them to create one of the most memorable patriotic songs of our history. At unifi, we believe that passion is an important driver to produce good quality content, and we would like to ignite that same passion, as much as we can, amongst Malaysians. To support our national athletes competing at the upcoming 30th SEA Games, we went all out to shoot our version of Tanah Pusaka at the Multimedia University (MMU) in Cyberjaya, together with legendary indie band, Butterfingers.
“We also invited our Warga TM and their families, varsity students, as well as athletes from Harimau Malaysia to be a part of our music video,” said Acting Executive Vice President of unifi, Moharmustaqeem Mohammed.
unifi released its version of ‘Tanah Pusaka’ both as an homage to the original piece and as an anthem of their support for the national athletes competing at the SEA Games.
To stand a chance to be one of the five (5) winners selected to support our athletes at the 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines, contestants will only need to follow three (3) simple steps:
Step 1: Follow any of unifi’s official social media platforms either on facebook.com/weareunifi (Facebook), @unifi (Twitter) or Instagram.com/unifi (Instagram) and share or repost unifi Tanah Pusaka video. Be sure to set your
profile as ‘Public’ until 30 November 2019. Once you have done so, you are automatically enrolled in the contest!
Step 2: Post your most creative version of the Tanah Pusaka video on your social media platform. Please ensure that your submission is genuinely yours. You can post more than one video!
Step 3: Don’t forget to include #khabarbaik and #unifitanahpusaka in all of your submissions.
The contest period starts now and will end on 15 November 2019. Winners with the most creative entries will stand a chance to win two (2) return flight tickets to the Philippines, two (2) tickets to the 2019 SEA Games Opening Ceremony, hotel accommodations, airport transfers, and travel insurance for the trip. There will be only top five of the most creative entries will be selected. The winners will be announced on 16th November 2019.
