U Mobile is adding another insurance company to provide general insurance solutions to its customers this time with one of the largest global insurance providers MPI Generali.

The memorandum of understanding between the both will allow the telco’s customers to subscribe, manage and view their general insurance coverage entirely via their mobile phones. After initially just providing travel insurance solutions to U Mobile, both parties found the partnership encouraging and extended further with services to include other forms of general insurance.

With this announcement the service is expected to be available to U Mobile customers from the second quarter of 2018.
