UK Has No Future After Rejecting Huawei, Laments Chinese Ambassador

A perplexing statement indeed, thats our first thought when the Chinese Ambassador to Britain gave the statement when interviewed by The Times of UK.

During the session Liu Xiaoming said in a statement that “Choosing Huawei is choosing opportunities and growth, and rejecting Huawei is rejecting opportunities and growth,” this is in reference to the British Governments recent announcement on its reversal to use Huawei for its telecommunication services.

He continued to add “I now would say, rejecting Huawei is rejecting the future,” the ambassador is clearly sore on the whole situation probably after lobbying for years to only see all the efforts crumble or should we say laid to crumble by a single man on a mission. Is Britain’s 5G aspiration lost with the termination, last check there are other vendors with much more superior technology than Huawei. The likes of Ericsson, Nokia and Samsung are in the game in providing end to end 5G solutions.

The proclamation that Huawei is the leader in 5G is overrated, a claim mostly made by the company itself and the Chinese Government. It is progressive and has showed advanced capabilities to the world but so have the others. What really at stake here is the budget nations are allocating for the next telecommunication evolution, analyst report 5G spend is projected to reach USD 44.5 billion by 2027 and expected to grow more than 20% year on year. A lucrative prospect indeed!

Asserting that UK will fall behind and move into digital darkness sounds like a comment a sore loser makes when he loses a battle game online.

Huawei should just accept the decision and stop allowing government officials fight its battles, giving the notion that the entity is bound by Beijing. Take it like a gentlemen let the world judge on who was the bully and who was the victim.
