Uber Rewards have arrived

While Uber is no longer in the country, if you are living in Miami, New Jersey, Denver, Tampa, New York, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and San Diego, you will be privy to the rewards that the program brings.

Uber has already rolled out the program effectively on November 14th. It will feature four tiers: Blue, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. The program will apply to Uber and Uber Eats with plans to add bikes and scooters at a later date. Uber is currently also planning to expand the program to other cities in time to come.

There are four tiers in the program with each tier providing different benefits to the users. Following are the details on the four tiers :

For the Blue tier, you’ll get $5 added to your Uber Cash balance, which you can spend on rides and Eats, for every 500 points you earn.

As for the Gold tier, you’ll be able to cancel and rebook trips within 15 minutes and the cancellation fee will be refunded. You’ll also have faster response times from more experienced drivers and delivery people.

For the Platinum tier, you’ll get price protection on a specific route of your choice. That means you’ll get a set price between two locations on UberX, so traffic won’t add cost to your trip. Also, you’ll get priority service when being picked up from airports.

Finally, for the Diamond tier, you’ll get the benefits above, plus “premium support” on the phone from customer service. You’ll get “complimentary surprise upgrades” from UberX to premium options like Uber Black and access to the “UberX Diamond” option, which connects you to highly rated drivers. Diamond members also will be able to opt out of the delivery fee on three Uber Eats orders every six months.

Those who are not in the nine cities mentioned above, a waitlist is provided to be joined. The list allows users to contribute every dollar spent on Uber and Uber Eats in the six months before they can join into the membership
