Malaysians are spoil for choice when it comes to video streaming over their mobile devices with iflix, Youtube, Viu, Asian flavours like tonton, Astro and HyppeTV all offering 24/7 of entertainment. Latest entrant, dimsum is jumping on the band-wagon with similar offerings concentrating mostly on Asian content with Chinese, Korean and Japanese shows. As many customers are using their smartphones to consume videos, dimsum has tied up with network operators to waive data charges when they subscribe.

stardimsumPartners Digi and U Mobile are the first two telco’s who have added the new service from Star Group as their zero rated data video apps, giving new and existing customers access on qualifying plans. Unlike other channels, dimsum can be used by 5 concurrent users across multiple devices and can be downloaded offline viewing.

Popular screenings include simulcast shows like Taiwanese idol drama High 5, Chinese Paladin 5, Doctor X from Japan and exclusive Malaysian premiers.
