Through the installment plans, Malaysians can now book their travels to dream destinations they had once considered too costly to pay for in one lump sum. The plans are offered at 0% interest, allowing customers to make their bookings without having to worry about accumulated interest later down the road.

With just a minimun transaction of RM500 customers are eligible for the 6-month plan, while the 12-month plan is valid for bookings that are at least RM1,000 in total. The payment option is available across all Traveloka’s platforms, such as its App and desktop and mobile sites.

The apps Country Manager for Malaysia and Singapore, Halif Hamzah, said there was a demand among travellers for more flexible payment options. “We often hear people say, ‘I wish I could…’, so with the installment plans, we hope to make it possible for people to fulfill their travel aspirations, as they can travel first, and pay later,” he said.

With the festive season like Hari Raya around the corner, the installment plan can ease the lofty bills families could incur for travelling back to their home towns. Adding to the festive cheer, the booking app is offering also has weekly flat rates and attractive prices for those who will be traveling during the Raya season.
