The high speed broadband space is shaping up nicely, ever since the Ministry announced that all operators have come to an agreement to lower cost and increase speeds.
With the deadline over, consumers can expect to enjoy unprecedented speeds in the country never experienced before at much affordable price. While neighbouring nations having started rolling out Gigabyte (1000Mbps) lines to homes, Malaysia is still struggling to pass the 100Mbps mark. The stuttering start has been blamed on price and lack of initiatives by stake holders but we can be rest assured things are about to look up.
Both incumbents TM and Maxis have kicked up their campaign with much cheaper fibre broadband packages offering 100Mbps speeds at just RM129 and soon to join the party is TIME dotcom. The operator who works in the realms of high rise apartments and offices has teased users with a new offering set to be unveiled on 7 October. TIME currently offers 500Mbps at and 100Mbps at RM149 which is now higher than its competitors.
Stay tuned as we find out what the guys at TIME have for Malaysians in the next 24 hours.
