PowerColor, who have been manufacturing AMD GPUs since 1997 (when they were still called ATi), has officially launched the DEVIL BOX. This gives laptop users the opportunity to use desktop-grade graphics card. To use it, buy a qualifying AMD or nVidia desktop GPU, install it in the DEVIL BOX, and connect it via Thunderbolt 3 to your laptop.
It’s a pretty limited use-case scenario, and with a RRP of US$379, it’s clear that a niche product like this isn’t going to get significant traction. Still, for those who are interested, here are the specifications.
