The Huawei MatePad Pro lands on Malaysian shores soon. No idea when ‘soon’ means as they hadn’t really said other that soon. But anyway, here are some of the features the MatePad Pro comes with:
Design
The MatePad Pro comes with a 10.8-inch 16:10 display in a thin body. It also features the highest tablet screen-to-body ratio, at 90% with a 4.9mm bezels on the edge-to-edge display.
The body itself is ergonomic as it is made of a magnesium alloy frame that helps keep the tablet light and durable. It comes in four colourways: a vegan leather finish in Forest Green and Orange, as well as a fiberglass finish in Pearl White and Midnight Grey.
Display
The HUAWEI MatePad Pro is equipped with a 10.8- inch 16:10 2K QHD (2560×1600) panel supporting the DCI-P3 cinematic colour gamut. With a pixel density of 280ppi – the panel is engineered to deliver a crisp and vibrant experience. It also features HUAWEI’s CalriVu Display Enhancement tech, which optimises video playback, image browsing and gaming. To complement that, there’s also an Eye Comfort Mode to adjust to user’s preferences. In terms of audio, the MatePad Pro comes equipped with Harman Kardon-tuned speakers and a five-capsule microphone.
Performance

The Kirin 990 is at the core of the HUAWEI MatePad Pro’s power, supported by up to 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM and 7250mAh battery for all-day battery life. In box, you get a 20W power adapter quick charging, but it does support 40W HUAWEI Super Charge. Another first for tablets as it also supports wireless and reverse charging.
