Thailand’s eArena Dominates PMSL SEA Summer 2025, Malaysian Teams Fall Short

Thai powerhouse eArena has clinched the PUBG MOBILE Super League (PMSL) SEA Summer 2025 title after a commanding performance during the Grand Finals held over the weekend at BASKETHALL GBK, Jakarta.

The tournament, featuring the region’s top 16 teams and a prize pool of US$200,000, was a qualifier for the upcoming PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC) 2025 in Riyadh, set for 25 July to 3 August.

eArena surged ahead on Day 2 and sealed their victory in Match 3 on the final day with a WWCD (Winner Winner Chicken Dinner) against Team Secret. By Match 2, they had already accumulated 148 Smash Points—unmatched by any other team.

Malaysian teams CelcomDigi Alliance (CDAL) and SEM9 reached the Grand Finals but finished at #7 and #12, respectively. SEM9 secured a WWCD on Day 2, while CDAL redeemed themselves with one on Day 3, though it was too late to mount a full comeback.

With the conclusion of the Summer season, Malaysian teams are expected to regroup with new strategies for the PMSL SEA Fall season, which serves as the next step towards the PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC) 2025.

Registrations for the PUBG MOBILE National Championship (PMNC) MY Fall are now open until 8 July, offering new and grassroots teams an opportunity to earn a place in the next PMSL season. MEC and New Era (NWE), both invited to the PMNC MY Fall Finals, will be the teams to watch as local hopefuls challenge for the final two qualifying slots.
