Telegram went down moments ago.
According to Outage.Report, the outage affects mostly Southeast Asia, with other parts of Asia affected as well. So far it seems Singapore is affected the most, followed by Malaysia, Indonesia, Phillipines and Hong Kong.
Telegram has posted on Twitter confirming the outage, citing an error with the network switch in the server cluster in Singapore.

This is the second outage for Telegram within the space of a week. Europe faced outage issues as well for about an hour on the 14th of September.
EDIT: Telegram has updated on the reason for the network switch failure. Apparently a power outage in the datacentre has sent their Singapore servers into a bit of a mayhem. Telegram mentions that it’s not supposed to happen. Looks like even their backup power might have failed on them too.
The cause of the connection issues in Asia is a major power outage in our datacenter in SG (supposed to never happen). Hang on!

UPDATE: As of 5.31 pm Malaysia Time, according to Telegram it should be up now. Our own accounts are working on Android, no luck on web yet. Might be taking some time to sync everything.
