SELangkah has made our lives a little easier during the Covid-19 outbreak as the app, along with MySejahtera were developed to allow us to enter premises and help MOH identify the premises and customers at risk of Covid-19 infection.

However, many of us may have taken these apps for granted as we’re not completely aware if these apps are accessible to the disabled community which is why the Selangor government introduced Selangkad, a unique QR card to improve the contact tracing experience for the disabled community.

Earlier today, the new initiative was revealed by the SELangkah developer team which noticed that some people with disabilities may have difficulty scanning QR codes using smartphones.

So the solution for the problem is that now shop owners or staff at a premise will scan the QR code on the card of those who has the Selangkad app into the SELangkah system instead of the disabled having to scan SELangkah QR code themselves.

Selangkad is certainly a great step by the Selangor state government to make sure that nobody is left behind in the effort to fight Covid-19. However, the card is currently being issued on manual basis.

Hence, for those who wish to apply or learn more about Selangkad, you can contact the SELangkah developer team directly through WhatsApp at 014-3025655 or scan the QR code that the team has published right here.

SELangkah is established during the Covid-19 outbreak to ensure the readiness of business and industry entities during the business activities. SELangkah is an automated sign-in system for business premises using Quick and Simple QR Code. This is in line with the call from the Malaysian Prime Minister during a special press conference back in May urging business premise owners to register the attendance records of visitors at their premises.
