Supreme’s been busy on the collaboration front for its Spring 2020 collection. Having recently worked with RAMMELLZEE and Timberland, the New York based skate company has now collaborated with iconic sports car company Lamborghini for an expansive Automobili Lamborghini capsule.

The collection features brightly coloured pieces that draw inspiration from the brands most famous models, such as the Diablo, Murciélago and Aventador. The capsule itself consists of seven pieces: hoodies, hockey jerseys, shirts, coveralls, t-shirts, skateboards and beanies and all feature Lamborghini’s iconic emblem.

While the designs for each piece may look half assed or like nothing special, the big logo actually goes really well with Lamborghini’s branding. Lamborghini is aggressive in their designs and I suppose there’s nothing more aggressive than a really big logo. The big emblem matches the colours really nicely and while i’ve never been a fan of over the top branding, the pieces are growing on me.

At the end of the day, it’s the hardcore Supreme fans, or hardcore fans of Lamborghini that’ll be copping these. Personally, the stand out of this capsule is without a doubt the colour scheme that Supreme opted to go with.

Just one look at the colours and you can tell that its a Lamborghini capsule. Being a fan of collabs that are more subtle however, I feel that the huge ass Lamborghini emblem on each piece (that’s probably visible from outer space) wasn’t necessary. For me, the colour scheme did most of the branding.

That being said, whether you like the design or are just a massive fan of either companies, the collection will release on April 2nd AT 11 a.m. EST. The bad news here is that the coronavirus outbreak has closed Supreme’s UK and US retail outlets. The good news however, is that you can still get it on Supreme’s webstore and with free shipping too (only for orders above US$150).
