According to Nintendo’s official download figures, 40 million people have downloaded the Super Mario Run app on iOS. Yes, without even having an official Android release, Super Mario Run has (sort of) beat Pokemon Go. But a one-on-0ne comparison is difficult as the two apps were released in very different ways.

Either way, Nintendo is having one great year and with the Switch console just around the corner, it looks like 2017 will be just as good for the company.
