Summoners War Expands Universe With Walking Dead Creators

For those not familiar, Summoners War is a mobile turned strategy MMO role playing game developed by Korean game publisher Com2uS. With over 80 million downloads across the globe, the game is set in a fantasy world at constant battle for vital minerals. The publishers have now signed on creator of Walking Dead hit series Robert Kirkman to expand the game to other areas namely comics and animation.

With the creative genius getting into the foray, fans can expect new frontiers for the monsters of the game. Bringing these creatures to life will be the task handed to Kirkman and his team, Com2uS will be releasing new material and create backstories for the characters and the unique Sky Arena where the battles takes place. 

The agreement between Com2uS and Skybound Entertainment heralds a new chapter for the game publishers, as the seek to bring the Korean phenomena to Hollywood in all forms and platform. Through this multi-dimensional IP expansion, Com2uS aims to enrich the worldview of Summoners War to boost and strengthen its global competitiveness.

Skybound was responsible in bringing animations like Angry Bird and Star Wars:The Clone Wars to mainstream cinema, as for Summoners War which seeks similar journey for its games, was released in 2014 and has accumulated over 80 million downloads worldwide and about USD$1 billion revenue.
