After more than a decade since the introduction of robotic dogs, Sony has improved the series with artificial intelligence. Not only does it allow you to buy new tricks and games for the dog to learn through its app, you can also view pictures from the dog’s nose cam.
The dog can also ‘grow’ from a puppy to an adult dog. Although the size will remain the same, but Sony claims that to dog can also adapt its personality and form emotional bonds with its owners.
Even though the Aibo robotic dog takes less maintenance than a real live canine, you’ll have to feed it on a monthly basis, based on a US$26 per month subscription (minimum three years) after the initial US$1,700 cost of ‘adopting’ it into the family.
