Sharp Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd unveiled its first AQUOS 8K TV line-up AX1 Series with Real 8K resolution panel (7680 x 4320), the highest resolution to be seen in the whole TV category. On top of that, it is also the first 8K TV to be sold to consumers in the ASEAN market.

Sharp equips its full AQUOS 8K TV line-up with the latest highest processing engine making the first step in shaping an 8K world. This 8K range is available in three screen sizes – 60-inch, 70-inch and 80-inch. Each of these TVs feature some of the top-notch technologies such as Real 8K Resolution panel made in Japan, Real 8K Colour and Real 8K Contrast to create an immersive realism TV viewing experience.

Sharp’s Real 8K Resolution panel has 33 million pixels, 16 times more than the resolution of Full HD and four times more than 4K Ultra HD. All AX1 series use SHARP’s proprietary UV2A panel made in Japan while the 80-inch model has IGZO (Iridium, Gallium, Zinc Oxide) panel.
The Sharp AQUOS 8K TV is powered by the latest Android TV 8.0 Oreo. Its Eilex Prims feature delivers powerful sound and increases the sweet spot range, together with the uniquely shaped speakers and double subwoofer deliver natural and clear high-quality sound.
For the Malaysian market, the AQUOS 8K TV retails for RM 25, 999 (60-inch), RM 36, 999 (70-inch) and RM 73, 999 (80-inch) starting this month.
