Cashless payment has been the preferred way when purchasing your items due to the Covid-19 outbreak and it’s a good way to stop or lessen further spread of the corona virus. Whether it’s a delivery service app or a physical establishment, you are given the option to pay cashless or in some cases, you can only pay cashless.

Just recently, Setel, an E-payment solution, launched 2 new in-app features that extend its services at Petronas stations for purchases other than fuel. The mobile app now allows users to use Mesra stores to purchase and receive items directly from their vehicle when visiting a Petronas station, as well as to be able to use cashless in-store payments via Setel Wallet.

The first new feature, aptly named Deliver2Me, will allow users of the Setel app to buy selected items at participating Petronas stations from Mesra outlets. These products will then be delivered during refuelling directly to their vehicles.

This feature has been introduced for customer convenience, according to the company, without having them wander away from their vehicles. In addition, payments are, well, settled via the e-wallet service of the app for these purchases.

For cashless payments, users who prefer to have their products bought in-store will also be able to use the Setel Wallet. On top of that, via this approach, Petronas clients will also be able to earn Mesra points as well as perform points redemption. For transactions via the Deliver2Me feature, this also applies.

Setel says that at six participating Petronas stations in the Klang Valley, Deliver2Me is now supported. Beginning in the first quarter of 2021, it will then progressively roll out to other branches nationwide. In the meantime, at 800 participating Mesra outlets at Petronas stations across Malaysia, the cashless payment service is readily available.
