Samsung is hosting a global unpacking event this August 9 for its new premium Galaxy Note 9 smartphone which the company says is a new edition to its 2018 premium family.
By the looks of the video posted on the official website, a gold stylus makes an appearance with no hint of the device or outlines, keeping clear in revealing too much. Samsung usually has two mega launches a year with the Galaxy S series early of the year and the Note series around this time. There are rumours that there could be a possibility the Korean manufacturer might introduce two versions of Galaxy Note 9 but information on this is still vague and speculation are usually wild when it comes to large brands. But with that said we don’t mind seeing something different, the Note events have always been ‘as expected’ and for a change a surprise could be a nice welcome.
Samsung phones has been receiving a battering from Huawei, with the large Chinese mobile brand taking chunks of market share away from the once dominant Android phone maker. Lack of innovation and complacency has been attributed for the Korean tech giants lacklustre performance. While Samsung had set its target on Apple, Huawei has been gunning for the number two position and ultimately number one in Android.
The Galaxy Note has been runaway success being a unique proposition for users, but do consumers still regard using a stylus ‘vogue’ with modern-day phones now capable of taking dictation with voice command and powered by artificial intelligence? Lets just see what Samsung has up its sleeves on August 9.
