Samsung Electronics Co Ltd has announced that One UI 7 will begin rolling out in Malaysia on April 14 2025, starting with the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Z Flip6, before expanding to more Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
The update introduces a bold new design with a simplified home screen, redesigned One UI widgets, and an enhanced lock screen for greater personalisation and control. The Now Bar provides real-time updates on the lock screen without unlocking the device.
One UI 7 also features AI-driven enhancements, including AI Select, which simplifies tasks like saving videos as GIFs, Writing Assist for summarising and formatting text, and Drawing Assist for creating images with text and sketches. Audio Eraser enables sound isolation in videos.
With Google Gemini integration, users can perform natural language searches, such as finding nearby restaurants or adjusting device settings by voice commands.
The update will gradually roll out to other Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5, and Galaxy Tab S10 and S9 series.
