According to Korean news provider Yonhap, Samsung will stop making its Note 7 after learning that their replacement phones were going up in flames. At least 5 of these replacement phones have reportedly caught fire in the United States alone – the first aboard a plane that had to be evacuated.

The halt in production is perhaps in accordance with the wishes of regulators from Samsung’s major markets. No recall has been issued on the replacement phones as of yet. Reports also state that the fiasco has yet to affect Samsung’s revenue stream, which has continued to grow despite everything.
