Anyone here familiar with Tizen? If you’re wondering than you are not alone, Tizen is an Android based operating software developed by Samsung as an independent mobile OS. The program was earmarked to wean the electronic giant from being to reliant on Google.
While the lift off has been rather slow, consumers will find the system in Samsung TV’s, Gear smartwatches and even some of their less known smartphones. We did see some models in the past here, but due to its unpopular response, Samsung Malaysia stopped bringing them in. But that has not stopped the Korean company in pushing through. Adding another model to the ecosystem, Samsung Z4 is the answer to China’s cheap phones program. Aimed to capture the expanding low end segment who can only afford devices below the RM500 price point.

On the onset the Z4 looks spartan since it is for the low end segment but knowing Samsung they will ensure internals are not spared from their engineering prowess, equipped with 5MP front and 5MP rear camera with F2.2 it does offer a wide range of photography option. Powered by Tizen 3.0, the phone is 4G LTE, VoLTE, and VoWiFi ready.
Samsung Z4 will launch in select countries, starting in India and will be available in black, gold and silver, the Z3 was priced below RM400 we assume the Z4 should also be around the region.
