It seems the high-end prebuilt PC desktop market is Samsung’s next target. A listing on Amazon.com allows users to pre-order this new entry from the Korean tech giant called the ‘ArtPC Pulse’. This all-black entry has an all-aluminium chassis and is cylindrical – conjuring images of Apple’s Mac Pro.
There are significant differences from the Mac Pro though (besides the obvious difference in OS and hardware). First of all, its design isn’t quite as sleek and uninterrupted as Apple’s overpriced tube. Instead, you’ll find the top half consists of some stacked sections. This will house the ArtPC’s audio solution, which, as you can guess by the photos, is an omnidirectional speaker provided by harmon/kardon.

In terms of I/O, the ArtPC sports at least 4 visible USB3.0 ports, an Ethernet port, an HDMI port, a USB Type-C port, a single audio-out port and an SD card reader. The Amazon listing also says 3 AA batteries are sold separately, but no indication has been given to show what these might be for.

There are two specs listed on Amazon. The entry-level ArtPC Pulse Premium Desktop is called the DP700C6A-X01US while the high-end version is known as the DP700C6A-A01US. Here are their specifications:
