Samsung’s Q3 2015 earnings report seem to contain some good news for the South Korean company. Its operating profits almost doubled from last year’s Q3 from US$3.8 billion to US$6.46 billion. Samsung did not say lightly that it will make more money in the third quarter.
Overall, quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) revenue rise by 6%. However, the company is still nowhere near the peak of Q3 2013 at US$9.6 billion.
The announcement also added that the company expects a decline in earning in the fourth quarter from lack of positive effect from foreign exchange rate. Besides that, it seems like Samsung is more interested in maintaining its status quo for the time being rather than pushing for its previous high.
The sales of smartphones has increased, although Samsung did not release any numbers, following the cutdown in price in Galaxy S6 and other devices but it might have also hurt profits. Samsung faces tougher competition than its long-time sworn rival, Apple mainly because it sells Android-operated devices.
