Renowned source leaks for smartphones @evleaks, like clockwork, manages to dig up the Samsung Galaxy S9 renders. This comes just weeks before the Samsung Galaxy S9 Unpacked events takes place.

The upcoming flagships, which will appear just before Mobile World Congress 2018 kicks off, will come in two sizes. The Samsung Galaxy S9 is the 5.8-inch entry, while the Samsung Galaxy S9+ measures at 6.2-inches.

Going by the Samsung Galaxy S9 renders alone, it is very apparent that most of the updates will be internals and size only. Design wise, it’s very much the same as the previous flagship.

Only the specs depart from the current ‘change only when necessary’ script. Powering Samsung’s next flagships will be its very own Samsung Exynos 9810 System-on-Chip (SoC). Pairing that is 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The larger variant will sport 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. As always, US and China variants will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC.

The camera arrays – both front and back – will, likely, be the same with updates glossing over Megapixel size and lens layout. This includes variable aperture on the primary 12-Megapixels cameras, software updates that offer ‘super slow-mo capture’. The Samsung Galaxy S9+, of course, will be using a dual-lens configuration. On the front sits a 8-Megapixels shooter.

Leaks will be leaks, even those as accurate as Evan Blass – they usually ruin the fun and surprise for many. However, even Blass can’t cover every minute detail, as evident with the Samsung Bixby reveal.

While the pricing is also under-wraps, details on availability is making its rounds now with official press shots confirming 16 March 2018 as the selling date. More will come up during the Samsung Galaxy S9 Unpacked event.
