Samsung Asia and SK Planet partners in SEA for e commerce growth

Samsung signed an agreement with 11street for their products to by promoted through the e-commerce’s marketplace. The memorandum signed in Singapore by SK Planet and Samsung Electronics Southeast Asia and Oceania will promote Samsung’s brand presence, and provide access to Samsung’s products in SEA through 11street Malaysia, 11street Thailand and Elevenia in Indonesia.

The Samsung Shop-in-Shop page allows consumers to easily search, browse and purchase Samsung products, as well as gain access to online-only products and pre-sale offerings. Bringing speedy delivery and hassle-free product installation by Samsung Authorised Distributors, 11street consumers will also have access to promotional discounts from Samsung via 11street Malaysia.

This partnership was proven to be successful in Korea and both companies seek to replicate that success in the SEA market. SK Planet grew their brand as an e-commerce platform in Korea, before venturing into the global market in 2013 starting with Turkey’s, followed by Elevenia in Indonesia two and a half years later, 11street Malaysia the following year, and most recently 11street Thailand. Globally, 11street has positioned itself as a leading service provider in Southeast Asia and Turkey.

In conjunction with opening the SEA chapter of the partnership, consumers will get to enjoy a series of promotion starting March 2017. These include extended warranty, free installation and free delivery for selected home appliances and electronics offered directly by Samsung’s official and authorized sellers.

There will also be a monthly ‘Samsung Day’ that will provide consumers with value for money through flash deals with shocking discounts, credit rebates and exclusive bundles.
