Overwatch gamers can now sink deeper into the game, by creating their own, tailor-made Overwatch experience and then open it up to their friends, their teammates with the new Game Browser.
Think of it like a playground. The Game Browser is an extension of the custom game mode that gives the option to create custom games, change the rules, and even make the creations accessible to a much wider range of players. It also gives fellow players the tools to find your designed games and participate.
How Its Done
Heres how you can create a game for the game browser, after entering the Arcade and clicking the Create Game button, you’ll be presented with a number of customizable options under the Stettings menu. For example, if you want to increase Pharah’s rocket speed or remove the cooldown from McCree’s Combat Roll, those options are available.
There is also the default presets, many of which have already been featured as official Overwatch Brawls and will be introducing Capture the Flag maps featuring every control point on Ilios, Lijang Tower, Nepal, and Oasis, giving players nine additional maps to choose from.
Once you’re ready to launch your game, you’ll need to set up permissions and can limit the people who can join your game by toggling the Friends Only or Invite Only options, but for the bold you can test the ultimate exam by setting your server to Public.
