These days, it seems like EVERYONE is going into video game streaming, and why not? You can do it from the house and if you’re good, it can be highly profitable. As popular as it is however, one of the last names you’d think of when you think of streaming is probably Ronda Rousey.

Believe it or not though, the former MMA champion is the latest big star to be snapped up by Facebook Gaming to stream their gameplay exclusively on the platform. It’s funny because Rousey isn’t someone you’d even mention in the same breath as the word gaming, unless of course you’re talking about EA Sports UFC game. She’s set to hold her first gaming stream on February 18th at 3PM PST/6PM EST.

While Rousey may no longer be the undisputed MMA champ she once was, she does have a massive following on Facebook with over 11.2 million fans. This dive into gaming could just turn out to be a big hit for her because who doesn’t like watching their favourite celebrities play games, right? We already know what the first game she’ll be playing is and it’s not UFC 3. The former WWE champ will be playing Pokémon Sword and Shield on her first stream with all proceeds going towards Australian bushfire recovery efforts.

Rousey isn’t the first and won’t be the last high profile celeb to sign an exclusive deal with relative new boys in the industry. Expect to see a lot more exclusive content from your favourite celebrities appear on new platforms you’ve probably never even heard of in the near future.
