ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has officially launched the 2026 Zephyrus G14 and G16 in Malaysia, bringing a new wave of ultraportable gaming laptops aimed at creators, professionals and gamers who want high-end performance without the bulk.
At the heart of the new lineup is a focus on next-generation computing power, with options for Intel Core Ultra 9 processors and AMD Ryzen AI 9 chips paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 Laptop GPUs. ASUS said the machines are designed to handle demanding gaming, content creation and AI-driven workflows while maintaining a thin and light form factor.
The laptops also feature up to 50 TOPS of NPU performance, enabling local AI processing and Copilot+ PC capabilities for productivity tasks and creative applications. ASUS highlighted that this allows users to run AI models on-device with lower power consumption and improved data security.

Cooling has been upgraded through ROG Intelligent Cooling, including tri-fan technology, vapour chamber and quad-heatpipe systems depending on configuration. The redesign is aimed at keeping performance stable under heavy loads while reducing noise levels.
On the display side, both models come with ROG Nebula HDR OLED panels with up to 1100 nits peak brightness and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification. The G14 offers a 3K 120Hz panel while the G16 pushes a 2.5K 240Hz refresh rate, both with 0.2ms response times and full DCI-P3 colour coverage.
Despite the performance upgrades, portability remains a key selling point. The G14 starts from 1.50kg and 1.49cm thin while the G16 begins at 1.85kg. Both feature CNC-milled aluminium bodies and a new 35-zone Slash Lighting system for customisable aesthetics.
ASUS has also expanded connectivity with Thunderbolt 4 support, HDMI 2.1, USB-C charging and WiFi 7, positioning the devices for both mobile and desktop-style workflows.
The Zephyrus G14 and G16 will be available in Malaysia from 24 May 2026. Early access sales begin on the ASUS e-Store from 17 May, with launch bundles worth up to RM1437 while stocks last.
